I have a new problem with my 69 MGB GT. When I let off on the gas quickly
the car does a quick sideways wiggle like it was hit by a gust of wind. This
wiggle also occurs when I quickly accelerate while the car is moving. So the
sequence usually is; back off on the gas to slow down, side wiggle,
accelerate, side wiggle. As you can imagine this is not a good driving
situation!
Of course this just occurred after I replaced the rear leaf springs, so I am
wondering what the heck happened. I have a tube shock conversion that is
not new, but the shocks are in good shape. One other bit of background data,
just to detail my recent completed tasks. I replaced the exhaust system and
the previous system did not have the strap from the down pipe to the
transmission case, now it does.
