My 79 B used to do the exact same 'torquing' whenever I sped up or slowed
down. The easy fix was just to tighten the nuts that hold the plates and
rubber pads on to the rear leaf springs. The Mosss catalog has a blurb in
the rear suspension section that clued me into this.
