I would like to announce the establishment of Bay British Cars (BBC) in
Panama City, Florida. The purpose of our club is to have fun and promote
our cars.
We had our first meeting last Tuesday evening with 12 people in attendance.
We also had another 6 or 7 that wanted to be there, but due to prior
commitments couldn't make it.
Our first meeting went GREAT! Everyone had a good time and the food and
drinks were good. We are having our first run over to the Pensacola Beach
Bash on the 21st of this month.
To say I'm excited would be an understatement.
For now, we aren't going to elect officers, myself and John will continue to
organize things until we get going a bit.
We also haven't decided on a newsletter for now, but that will come. We do
have a member that runs a printing shop and volunteered to print our
newsletter for us once we start them. The majority said that for now, email
would suffice.
Next meeting we need to decide on dues, and discuss the insurance issue.
I want to thank everyone that replied to my requests for information on
starting a club a couple weeks ago. Your recommendations helped get our new
club off on the right foot, and hopefully to ensure it will be a long term
prospect.
