To repeat - with it disconnected you will be losing cruising economy and if
the carb port is open you will be getting unbalanced mixture across the
throttle range, difficult tuning, and dust particles will likely be
bypassing the air filter. Whether you hook it back up or not is up to you,
but why would you not?
