It was so badly worn that the pivot could wobble in the bushing.  What I
imagine happened was that the clutch was engaging unevenly thus only part of
the disk would contact during clutch engagement and causing accelerated
wear.  Alternatively it could be that with the bushin wear the disk wasn't
releasing all the way, but I have always had good clutch habits so I don't
think that would be the cause.

I remember being told numerous times that this bushing was an important part
to replace for clutch life and with the early departure of mine, I think it
sounds reasonable.  Besides Moss' price was sub $2 and it was a real quick
change while you are in there.

I only have two years on this clutch so I can't say if the bush was a factor
or not, but I know that I have heard the warning on this list before.
