hhhmmm... I'm not so sure about that. It really
depends on the value of the item shipped.  UPS,
I believe, automatically insured items to $100 or
something along those lines..  But if it's worth
more than that,,,and gets lost in transit.... without
additional insurance you'll only be able to re-coup
$100, not the full value of the item! I'm fairly sure
Fed Ex is the same (maybe different values)
Even the USPS has the same type of policies.
Lost mail is lost mail, if it's uninsured.
