I have only owned the car for a little over a year.=C2=A0 The car is a 196=
9 GT with a 1967 engine, no smog controls and a Weber carb.=C2=A0 To say th=
e car had been messed with in it's 52 year life is probably and understatem=
ent.=C2=A0 This is nothing new to me since I have been around British cars =
since 1971 and have rebuilt and restored my share of them.=C2=A0 I also own=
two Austin Healeys also.=C2=A0 You always see the evidence of what past ow=
ners have done to keep the car working, improve the performance, etc.=C2=A0=
This 1969 MGB GT is no exception.=C2=A0 I am sure the wiring has been modi=
fied in in form or another during it's long service.=C2=A0 Having said that=
, it still holds when something like this goes wrong with a system of the c=
ar that had been working great for a long time, it is usually something sim=
ple that is the culprit.=C2=A0 Given enough time and curiosity, it will rev=
eal itself.=C2=A0 I'll find it and I will let the list know when I do.=C2=
=A0 Thanks again for the constructive input, it is not ignored.Mike MacLean
