Arlo and all,

I saw these cars at the BJ Auction and both were interesting. The 57 was
the car from the movie "Speechless", and has been nicely restored, but had
some obvious rough spots. It ran nice and sounded terrific. The radio did
not work. He said it was installed as a prop for the movie but never hooked
up. It was bid up to about 12,600, but had a 15,000 reserve so did not
sell. He must have sold it Sunday for 13 rather than drive it home.

The 66 was far from stock. It seemed to have lots of non morgan parts and
therefore was not considered a collectable, hence its lower price. It too
carried a reserve and the auction did not come close so he apparently gulped
hard and sold it late Sunday. Early Sunday they were both still on the
display lot, but we had to catch the plane back to Ohio.

The Barrett Jackson Auction was quite an experience with lots of great
metal. I was disappointed to see only two Morgans. There were quite a few
MG's and TR's and lots of Jag's. Primarily high priced Detroit iron and
Italian prima donnas. Not one Mini.

Everyone should do this auction sometime. It is really neat to see 800 plus
really neat cars all in one place.
