Strange, I've been pondering the same thing. I think the key is finding a
trans with a removable bellhousing so it can be installed using the Moss box
bellhousing. I haven't done any measuring yet, but the Toyota T-50 5 speed
looks promising. A friend is currently putting one in a Morris Minor (along
with the Toyota 1600). These boxes were in the last of the rear drive sport
Corollas and should handle the stock TR power without trouble. Food for
thought.
