I don't know what the fill pipe system looks like on the newer Morgans, but on
my 63 +4 the pipe is a simple rubber hose from the gas cap down to the tank.
My old hose was ribbed and caused a lot of splash back when fuel hit the ribs.
I replaced it with a smooth-walled hose (rated for fuel, not coolant!) and it
fills much better now...
