Any kind of engine enamel will hold up ok on the intake, but exhaust
manifolds are a different story. I had poor results with the Eastwood satin
black exhaust paint. Eastwood said it may have been a bad batch, replaced it
and suggested curing it in the oven. I tried this with the same results.
Somebody gave me the leftovers of a can of Eastwoods "Stainless Steel"
exhaust coating so I tried that. It stayed on forever, but I didn't really
care for the look - a dull gray. Sold the exhaust (Fenton headers), bought
NIcson headers, had them coated with Aluma-Blast. This held up OK for a year
or so, then rust started showing through. So I then painted over that with a
cheap VHT chrome paint - it still looks great 10K miles later. But next week
the headers (and intake) are coming off and will be JetHot coated.
I don't know if this as the same as Cermakrome, but it sounds similar.
Shoulda done this long ago, hey, live and learn...
