We've now got over 14,000 miles on the MII front end in our '48 1/2 ton.
I am running manual steering, and everything seems to be A-OK. I don't
"baby" the truck when I drive it, either. It gets used every day, in any
weather conditions. I've used it to haul junk to the dump, pickup
firewood, and we just did a 3200 mile vacation trip in it. It hasn't
given me a minute's trouble. As far as I'm concerned, MII suspension
works fine in these old trucks.
