It Lives! It Lives! My 1949 3100 is running again. I had to let it sit
over the
winter with a bad case of "I'll be there on Saturday to pick it up and
rebuild
that engine for you." Well that was in October, Novermber, and December.
So I, being the not so able bodied mechanic that I am, decide to put in a
new, from the bone yard, intake, exhaust and carb set up. It took me 3
trips
to the local junk yard and several hours of reading to figure out what I
was
doing, but after a little trial and a lot of error I got the beast to run
again
at 55 tonight. What a rush it is to do it yourself. I love these old
trucks!
Now that I have an engine that is back to stock look, I removed a dual
intake
and carb setup as well as split exhust system, I'm looking forward to the
car
shows coming up this summer.

Keep them Tuckin friends! There is nothing like the sound of an old Chevy!
