Hi Jeff, I built a 36w x 30d with (2) 16w x 8h doors and a 9-1/2' ceiling.
I wish I had made it taller and wider.

I have a few comments/opinions:

It looks like you will not have enough room between bays, you have 27' of
doors on a 32' wall putting the cars on the outside bays right alongside the
wall (tight). Would a 9' and 16' door work better (25' total)?

How tall will the ceiling be? Will there be room to use the hoist hanging
below the beam which is below the ceiling? Sample; if the ceiling is 9' and
the beam is 1' and the hoist takes 2', you have a "head knocker" in the
shop.

Also 24' is not very deep if you want to have a work bench in front of the
car/truck! The inside measurement in the shop will be closer to 23' and our
trucks are about 17' long only leaving 6' for walk space and work bench.

Call your local steel supplier to see how large the beam needs to be to
carry a 4000# load (2 ton) in the middle of 24' and to carry the beam plus
load across the 9' door opening.

If you have a low ceiling make sure to hold the walk in door back so as not
to interfere with the overhead door track radius.

Finally, would a fold up cheery picker be cheaper, work better and be more
versatile in the shop?

You asked for opinions !!!! =)

Good Luck!
