Actually I guess its 55 Boyo, and I can't explain the name...

and lots of text with few pictures on the other.
I have 235x70x15 tires right now, and like the way the tires fit in the
wheel wells. I'd like to maintain the truck aspect so a truck
suspension feels right to me.
Boyo says 72-87, and that is what I've repeated. I have a '72 pickup
that has 5-lug wheels and front disk brakes, and I think I've read that
its frame is different than the 67-71s. But this is one of the reasons
I've poised the question because I simply don't know.
I have a line on a '75 3/4-ton van. It has 5-lug wheels. I'm thinking
it might be the right donor vehicle, because I'd like the load capacity,
but again, I don't know if the pieces are the same, or close enough...
I have an early 70's Chevelle wagon that I got for the engine and
transmission. I've wondered if the sub-frame might be a good
alternative, but keep coming back to wanting a truck, not a car. A
buddy has an early 70's Impala that he is ready to junk. Your comment
about a Caprice sub makes me wonder if I should look at that car.
Now some questions.
Did you do this with the front-end sheet mettle in place? Was the
engine installed at the time? How long do you think the job should take
(for a keyboard pounder, not an active guy)? How did you deal with the
steering column?
