If you lived closer and have power I just put a dehumidifier up for sale
in calif. they will do the job and you can run a garden hose out to drain
off the moisture, would be great on a timer for some 3-4 hrs per week.

little gel balls that when mixed with the soil will hold a great amount
of water mabe they could be used removed moistre and heated to dry out
