When I first got my truck, last WINTER, it was overheating and boiling
over like crazy ... turned out there was NO thermostat. I put a 180 in
and all was fine ... until Summer rolled around and I put AC in. It
ran okay but if I ran the AC it would get too hot. This year it's got
a new Walker 5-cell radiator in -- no more problems.

But my point is, no thermostat = boiling over and overheating.
