I know that on my Mk1 Midget the whole box must be removed to get the MC
out. (been there three times) that long bolt underneath won't come out
because it fouls on something, I forget what. You have to pull the pedal
box out to get clearance. It isn't difficult at all, just a bunch of bolt
with captive nuts.
BTW, when you put the MC back in, attach the brake and clutch lines first ,
not having everything rigidly in place seems to make it easier to line them
up. They can be a pain otherwise.

Are u sure Peter? I seem to recall that the hidden bolt inside the car,
keeps
the pedal box from being removed, and actually the bolt must be rempved in
order to get the pedal box out. But hey, who am I to second guess a guy
who
can manufacture a float bowl part out of someones razor.
