Bill,

For starters, plugs should be at .025, you probably have too weak of a
spark. It sounds like you may have a vacuum leak somewhere too. There are
so many vacuum lines on the 1500, that's pretty easily accomplished. check
for cracks in connectors or lines that are disconnected. also listen to
hear if you may have one at the intake manifold. If you don't have a
workshop manual, sorting out the vacuum lines will be difficult, but I
would start by hunting for leaks. Do you have a manual or automatic choke?
