Depends on the offset. I run 175/70 on the stock Rostyles on the '72 
Midget with no rubbing problems. You should be able to do the same on 
the Bugeye. I have 185/60 with 1/4 inch spacers on the rear on the 
race Bugeye. Even with stock springs, it's not a problem. Don't use 
the tall narrow tires, you will hate them and 145's are too narrow. 
155 or 165 would be OK, but that's the minimum I would put in 5" rims.
