Understood. No problem. Since my vendor of choice, for such things, is The
Roadster Factory, I don't pay much attention to Moss. I know TRF had them
for way less than $200, only a year ago. Of course, with the weak dollar,
I'm sure the price is a bit elevated, at this time.
What I'm getting at is that, if we constantly replace O.E. and O.E. type
parts with aftermarket parts, just to save a few bucks, we eventually end up
with a caricature of what used to be a very unique and wonderful car. If we
all do that, we drive the O.E. suppliers off the market and leave ourselves
at the mercy of the purveyors of pacific rim junk.
I like/need to save money as much as (if not more than) the next guy. But,
there are some things I won't compromise on. I want to continue to enjoy
the fruits of Geoff and Donald Healey's labor, as they intended them to be,
for as long as I can still climb in and out of the little buggers.
Hopefully, that'll be at least another 20-30 years.

No, Bud...

I am not trying to be a wise guy, here.
I remember seeing these advertised in
a Moss catalog sale flyer and the price
was somewhere around $200 and maybe
a little more.

The fellow originating the post was looking for an inexpensive fuel
pump.

Don't get me wrong. There is nothing
wrong with SU fuel pumps and I am quite
sure the AUF300 Electronic is the best
of the bunch.

But inexpensive they are not, while Facet's (and others) can be had for
(in some cases) half the price and do
the job just as well.

LBCarCo sells all types at reasonable
prices, including a little round one (never
used one of these) for
even less than the Facet.
