Try to spin it as something new and cool, state of the art. Ask for a large
compress such as http://tinyurl.com/63tex a nice IR 230V, two stage
compressor.
Then the hook for the show is how the garage will be plumbed. Try to get them
to use " Transair: The Future of Compressed Air Piping", which can be seen at

Try to sell it as new, neat, the piping of the future. Since it is OPM
(Other Peoples Money) try to get something good. Of course since the DIY
network is a lesser known brother of HGTV, they might have a lesser budget,
which is my guess why they nixed the lift. But it can't can't hurt to ask.
