Figured I should publish the guts of Bob's dream garage letter to Amy.
" What a deal with your garage. Here are a few comments for your
consideration.

"The Floor. I think they are right about the drying time for epoxy. But
regardless of what you do the prep is the same. It has to be cleaned and most
likely will need an acid etch. Frank C has used latex paint. I think he may
repaint every couple of years at least. We have experimented with very cheap
self sticking floor tiles, like would be used in the house. We have had our
utility room, on one side of the garage, done this way for some years now but
have not tried it under the cars so take that for what its worth or not
worth.

"Cabinets: Do you get as many as you can use? My choice would be the work
bench with the overhead cabinets. Then if the floor cabinet with wheels will
fit under the bench get two per bench. Roll then out to the side when you
want
to sit at the bench. Other wise I like cabinets with doors just because it
looks neater.

"Garage door: I do not know what his problem is with installing a garage
door opener. We did both of ours. Other than getting the alignment right the
hardest part is doing the 110 outlet if you do not already have one on the
ceiling. I prefer the screw type rather than the cable/chain type machines.
The
cable/chain type tend to stretch with time and have to be readjusted. We have
Genies which we got from Sears."

" San Diego British Car Day is Oct. 3 if it happens to fit in your schedule.
