State Farm required me to have the car appraised by anyone on a list they
supplied to me.  The appraiser charged $25.  His appraisal was the stated
value and is the maximum they will pay if the car is totalled.  The agent
told me to consider future appraisals if I thought the car would appreciate
over the years.   Mark
