I have been meaning to get myself one of these Ford fan blades and cut it
for a long time. I might just check out the place in Sunnyvale. If anybody
else is interested I will be happy to cut your fan at the same time for a
nominal fee. I am a machinist and will make a setup on the CNC mill. I could
even balance it after machining, but it should not need much.
If it has a standard hub I would make that too. I remember I made one for a
new water pump about 6 years ago.
I don't think I would like to bother with UPS but is there is anybody in San
Francisco bay area I could be talked into doing a few at the same time.
But the real question is.....does the old 60"s fan work any better than the
one being sold by SS? I would much rather bolt one on then spend my scarce
spare time machining.
