Believe you me Steve, if I did not have headers, I would have gone to the
Motorsports block-mounted/angled adapter as opposed to the remote.  Much
more bullet-proof and a lot more trustworthy!!

Allan,

It's unlikely your engine would survive a 450 deg.
oil, by what caused it, but there is always good old
age, oxidation, chemical reaction, stress cracking,
hardening of the "hoseries", and the heat from
exhaust pipes.  While the braid stops mechanical
abrasion, which you should avoid by good routing
anyway, and looks 'fast', it hides the hose's
deterioration (at least on the outside).

Unless you really need an external oil cooler, I
personally like the block mounted full size FL1A
Motorsport on the Motorcraft right angle adapter (no
headers).
