For most applications, an aviation mechanic told me
that oil begins to breakdown after 100 engine hours.
Assuming about a 40 mph average speed that works
out to about 4000 miles.  So changing every 3000 is
a good rule.

Perhaps what we all need is an engine hour meter.
They are available.  You could mount to next to a
TBO (time between overhaul) meter.  Good for
conversation.

Of course you should have already rewired the
turn indicators so the left (red) flashes when 
turning left and a green indicator indicator flashes
in the right used Overdrive hole.  Green and red
turn indicators.  TBO meters.  Now all you
need is the stroker motor to get off the ground.
