Interestingly in a trade magazine I read, the author state4
that given modern oil technology, he had NEVER come
across engine damage due to oil failure.  Lack of oil, dirty
oil, etc  YES    oil failure NO.  He advocates any  brand oil
but change it often with the filter.
 
This doesn't to apply to racing.
