Dave,

Wish I had known that earlier.  We were advised to change the unique 
factory filter and oil at the specified service interval of 1,000 
miles.  Very few detergent oils, and no multigrades.  The shop was all 
smiles when you drove in, and they changed 14 qt.. of oil, + 1 for the 
filter!  This is the Service Section of the Owner's Manual maintenance 
instructions for my brand new 1954 Jaguar XK120M roadster.

Doesn't matter.  Driving that car, purring at 65 to over 100 mph should 
have had a "Perversion while Driving" law. :-D
