Dave and Jim---I have my own opinion on what part ignition advance plays
in how clean an engine burns its fuel, but would like to hear from you
both, as you seem to differ. Jim claims retarding the timing helps to
pass smog tests, while Dave believes it's the lack of advance that makes
it 'dirty'. Can you clear up your position?
