Peter---A lot depends on how much you shaved the head, and the duration
of the cam shaft. If the compression was raised very much, you wouldn't
want to advance the spark from the stock setting. Then again,
performance cams can bleed off some cylinder pressure and allow for more
advance. Your combination may have cancelled each other out, meaning you
should start with the stock ignition timing setting. Advance it in two
degree increments, only if you think you can get away with doing so.
