I also did the Fiesta upgrade but I used the same belt and didn't need
to shave anything. 73-6

Consider using the Bosch alternator for a 1980 Ford Fiesta. Very little
modification and the plug fits right in from the Lucas, at least it did
for my TR250. The only modifications were a shorter fan belt and some
shaving of the alternator mounting bracket to allow for clearance of the
alternator fan.

Hi List...

I am ready to replace the tired old not quite working properly lucas
alternator with a GM alternator and thanks to Dan Masters and the VTR
website, I am comfortable about the electrical part of the installation.
While I am confident I can fit the alternator in I was wondering if
anyone knew of any good pics of the GM alt. on the car so I could get a
good idea of what modifications I needed to make. No need to reinvent
the wheel. Thanks in advance for any help.
