Uhh, there aren't ANY cars with "computer controlled camshaft timing" out there,
in the sense where a computer directly controls the lift/duration of the valves.
What you get is multiple camshaft profiles (normally two), with the switchover
point between profiles computer contolled.
That's a HUGE difference - a VTEC controller cannot get you any more lift or
duration (that's controlled by the immutable, cast-in-metal profile of the
camshafts) it can only change the RPM point where one switches from the low-end
cam to the high-end cam.
It's something not really accounted for in the rules, but changing the
switchover point is most definately NOT the equivelent of swapping out camshafts
for different profiles.
