I would like to see the following rule:

If you win an L1, L2, or Solo II national championship in a ladies
class,
then you must compete in the open class at all future national level
pros, tours, finale, championships.

Well, that still makes the Ladies class some sort of feeder class - I still
think that the issue is that if it's called Ladies then it ought to be for
ladies only and men's should be men's. And Many ladies don't ever run the
Pro's so a lot of them would not get moved in your suggestion.

Patrick Washburn made some good points that if the ladies class is to not
discourage them then why aren't men given the same consideration.

Katie Kelly made an excellent point that she has moved to open and it has
pushed her to run better.

But, my original point is still that women have a choice men aren't allowed to
have.

The ladies classes were designed to promote the family thing and allow couples
to not have to compete head to head. Being that we have more female drivers
than most motorsports, that works.

I just think by calling it ladies and giving us a choice we have an unfair
advantage.

I guess I am discussing men's rights (Oh My! Not a usual thing for me)

Maybe it should be "feeder class" and "the good class" but it's not
it's Ladies and Open.

I suggest we make them Ladies and Men's and beef up the competition in ladies
to make them "as good"

Susan Anderson (a 100% National entrant) has always said that
"Men go as fast as they can, women go as fast as they need to win" That's the
difference in the drivers.

Over the years in Solo women have progressed so much, they will continue to do
that (I hope) and you don't see that in other sports. So maybe ladies classes
will accomplish that.

I would like to see it changed to Ladies/Men's classes and see them get more
equal in times!

Let's make the ladies class more important and more competitive and maybe
instead of the "good" lady drivers moving we would get more ladies to get
better.
