Absolutely.  It has worked here for us since before there was such a thing
as Solo II.

We don't expect a person to find a waving flag.  Or recognize a color (what
about all the men who are red-green colorblind?).  Several people rushing at
you rapidly "pushing their hands down" does tend to attract your attention.
Remember, we are not limited to a few people who posses the red flag.  Any
worker can initiate this, and once one does, everybody copies it.  When the
whole site is full of people excitedly doing this, all the cars stop.
