According to details at
http://www.hondanews.com/Forms/honda/civicsi/index.html the Civic Si
will be manufactured in Swindon, England.  The only Civic hatchbacks in
the U.S. are to be Si models.  I have read somewhere else that the
hatchback model will only be produced in England.

I don't know how well they will be received at British Car Shows in the
U.S., though eventually Sterlings became acceptable.  I wonder about new
Jags that are more nearly American, but that's another story...

I agree that the new Civic hatchback is severely ugly (shrunken
Odessey), though I can remember when I used to think the same about all
'84-'87 Civics (and still feel that way about '92-'95 Civic
hatchbacks...).
