Truck vrs. trailer

The local Equipe Rapide group seems dead set on getting a truck and ditching
the trailer we now use for getting our equipment to/ from events.

I think it's a very bad idea (insurance/ in who's name?; maintenance,
liability, theft, A/C (we're in Texas and most of our events are very warm
to say the least), windows.

What experiences have you all had. Good or bad. Most of the board reads this
list and I would love to "get it all out there".
