It seems like the Morris "Moggy" Minor will keep going forever unlike
all others from the same era, and since!

Certainly if the Morris Minor Centre in Bath has anything to do with
it. The owner, Charles Ware, expouses the concept of "Durable Car
Ownership" - which basically states that one should consider a car an
investment like a house, one which shouldn't be used and thrown away,
but repaired. He's written a book that follows this idea to its logical
end, complete with charts and figures. I suspect that it's not a
foreign idea to any of us.

They've chosen the Minor as the Durable Car; so they provide the parts
and service needed to keep them on the road. They've started a company
in Sri Lanka to make new panels (mostly by hand, slow and labor
intensive, providing low price and high employment in a developing
country) and hope to eventually be able to offer complete bodies.
They're also looking at redesigning for the 90s and 00s, providing a
car that has the good qualities of a Minor (looks, maximal interior
space for small exterior) but is completely modern down to having
crushable impact zones...
