I assume you mean L20B, as the L20A is Japan only. L20B's were available
in just about every 4cyl Datsun from '74-80. They came in 610's from '74-76,
710's from '75-77, 200SX's from '77-79, trucks from '74-80, and 510's in
'79.
The early cars had the good head, U67 casting. The later cars('78-up) had
the W58 smog head. The casting number is under the #1 spark plug. The
best heads to find are an A87 from an L18(third choice), a peanut-chamber
(or closed chamber) A87(second choice), either from an imported engine
or new from Nissan it's called the "high compression" head. These are hard
to find but worth it. The best head is the SSS head, either 219 or V912
casting. These are also available new from Nissan, and hard to find used.
For some real fun, bore the L20B .080 over and use Z22 crank,rods,and
pistons to stretch to an L22! Hope that helps. Sorry to be so long-winded.
