You guys must be looking at a 68-70 1600. The earlier ones dash is very
close to that of the 1500 (but our gauges are not backwards ie. positive
earth) I agree that the "flat dash" / low windshield version is more "sports
car", but there are always trade offs to improved technology and fewer bugs
in your teeth I guess. Love my 66
