Tom that is true, recomended torques were reduced by 10 to 15% when using
neversieze, before the advent of neversieze, we used milk of magnessia and
painted the threads of all studs and bolts on the Hot sections of our jets.
thats going back
to the J-34, J-48 era. late 50's early 60's.
