When I repainted my 2000 a few years back, I used a '93 Ford Probe color
(Rio red I think) so that I could use Probe side moldings that are color
matched to the paint and are impregnated with color all the way through,
which means if they would happen to get dinged or gouged (very unlikely
'cause they're also VERY strong) there is no black or white or primer color
showing through. I also did this because I wanted less chrome on the car
and more of a monochromatic look. They are a stick-on.
