Michael:  The general concensus seems to be to install a switch in the
brake pedal.  I did this using a micro switch and a homemade bracket
attached by the screws that hold the door assembly to the air box under the
dash.  My micro switch has both normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC)
contacts and serves a dual purpose.  The NO contacts are connected to the
brake wires and activate the brake lights.  The NC ones are connected to my
cruise control and disengage it when the brakes are applied.  NOTE:  The
cruise control application may not apply to all Healey owners and may be
ignored.    ;-)
