Sam ~

I used a relatively low cost ($185.00) 18 fuse / 21 circuits E-Z Wiring
Kit from Flip's Hot Rod & Antique Parts 352-854-8320. It has a
pre-wired fuse box and the wires are labeled every 5 inches and comes
with instructions. I did not need a lot of the circuits like power
windows, seats, A.C. etc. but I did use the alternator, elec. fan,
radio, Tach. etc. You can just eliminate the wires you don't need
before you start or leave them in the harness for future use.
Chevy Duty has one for about $100.00 but I don't think it has any extra
circuits or fuse box.

The wiring on my 50 3100 is mostly original and a mess. Blinkers, horn
gas gauge, gauge lights etc don't work. Therefore I think I'm best off
to replace the whole harness. However I'd also need to include the CB
and stereo etc. I wouldn't mind having a fuse box to run some of these
items through.
My understanding is that some of the harnesses are better quality than
others.

Does anyone have a name brand harness that they would recommend, and
where did you get it from? Does it come with good instructions?

Thanks, Sam 1950 3100
