I've removed the fenders, hood, bumpers and bed from my '54. The bolts
holding the cab on are all out. The steering column is unbolted under the
dash, I've started removing the bolts that hold the steering box in place, but
didn't get finished. Wires have all been cut, pedals are removed, I need to
double check the speedometer cable, but the other gauges are disconnected.
I'm almost ready to remove the cab.

But how do I do it?

I can rock it back and forth a little, but haven't figured out how to get it
off without risking dropping it. How have others done this?

I've thought about swinging a hoist over a tree, but if I take that approach
how do I grab the cab without causing problems? I can get a crew together and
lift it off, but it looks like at least four guys, and probably really more
than that.

I'm curious how others (especially ones who already have bad backs) have done
this.
