Jeff,
    I think you answered your own question with the statement "Really, really
enjoying myself". There are a bunch of us who vintage race these old cars and
if you can afford the time and money to keep the car in top shape it is well
worth it.
    Check out the Vintage Auto Racing Association race on June 24th & 25th in
Temecula at the French Valley Airport. I, unfortunately, won't be running my
Spitfire at this venue due to my not having worked in a month because of the
SAG commercial strike but there is always a contingent of fast Spitfires at
VARA races and they usually allow street cars on the track during lunch for a
$20 donation to charity. Call VARA @ (800) 280-8272 for info.
