Hello all!

Just got back from an extremely satisfying day working on and
driving the Spit. Put a new coil in, re-adjusted the carbs (as I will
be for the rest of my life), and took her for a spin. Something that's
been plaguing me for a while involves the ride. Have these cars always
handled the bumps so badly?? Whenever I go over something even
remotely significant, such as raised man hole covers, small potholes,
larger cracks in the road, etc, the car sounds and feels like it's
about ready to fall apart! When this happens, the car also has a
tendency to almost "jump" over a bit.. Shocks are new and the springs
don't appear very old at all. Leaf spring in back is brand new.
Bushings and tires are also new. Any thoughts, or is this just the way
these cars are?

Thanks!

Steve Hall
