I might have a reason..
When I was young pup I would take my fathers 71 Pontiac down the road at 50
MPH and shut the ignition off for just a few seconds and then turn it back
on....
Made a REAL nice bang. Did it till I left it off too long and blew the
muffler off...
Had to pay for the replacement...

You should try it in a school bus under a bridge.  Most impressive!  The
kids loved it.  And the muffler stayed on, too.
