I like this one! Except that I think that I can improve on it?!?! How
about if instead of duct tape (I'm a sorry excuse for a male sometimes. I
always used to think that they were saying 'duck tape' and was too
embarassed to ask ...), I rigged up 2 attachments per side coming from the
knock-offs (kinda like '<' ) to the plywood and have some kind of pivot (ie
a hinge) attaching these to the blade. The skiis could be mounted under
the front wheels and the chain idea is great for the back wheels. To raise
and lower the blade, I could sling a rope over the windscreen connected to
the shift lever and the top of the blade. Nah, that would be too heavy!
I'll have to hook a trolley or bottle jack somehow on the front bumper or
something ... ?

At last I saw how to do this!

Last night I saw on PBS how a guy just used a chunk of plywood on the
front with LOTS of duct tape. Tape it to the fenders, bonnet, wheel
wells, etc. Then for the bottom skids, break off the front of a pair of
skis, just whack the skis over the fender, that will snap off the tips,
then duct tape them to the bottom of the plywood. Takes lots of tape.
Forward visibility is restricted somewhat, not to worry, it's an extra
crash guard too, but you could stand on the seat and drive. Don't
forget to chain all four wheels.

As for the skis , just duct tape them to the year boot lid.
