Sorry - I meant the 83, thanks for the catch.  I forget the details as to why 
they just couldn't bring it to market - but some of them issues stayed with 
the car for the run of that model.  

And high tech today - how can they be high tech if they still run pushrod 
engines?  

My take is that if you are interested in a high tech motor then you will 
probably be after overhead cams and variable valve timing?  Even the base 
Mustang 
V8 contains those ingredients.  Somehow they get it done though, the Z06 is no 
slouch!
